Product description:
Organic Amaranth Flakes are a delicious and nutritious addition or even substitute for your regular cereal choices. Organic Flaked Amaranth contains many more nutrients than traditional grains.
Amaranth is the only grain-type seed that contains vitamin C and also large amounts of calcium. It's also rich in magnesium and some other minerals. Organic Rolled Amaranth Flakes are an excellent source of plant proteins and fiber. They are also comparatively low on carbs and fat. However, amaranth contains polyunsaturated fatty acids, which are right for you.
To make Organic Rolled Amaranth Flakes, the manufacturer heats the seeds and rolls them out flat.
How to Enjoy Organic Amaranth Flakes
You can eat Organic Rolled Amaranth the same way you do any grain flakes. Try mixing them into your morning cereal to make muesli or adding some flakes to granola.
However, you can use Amaranth Flakes when making savory dishes too. They will be a good thickener in soups and stews. Amaranth tastes nutty and a bit earthy, so the flakes will enhance the dish's flavor and beef up its nutritional value.
You can use Organic Amaranth Flakes in baking. You can mix it into dough or batter when making cookies, muffins, or pancakes. If added to a recipe with wheat flour, you'll need to replace not more than ¼ of it with amaranth.
