    Description

The Kewpie doll was not the only successful Rose O'Neil creation.  Scootles first appeared in a cartoon in the Ladies Home Journal in 1925 and has been recreated in doll form many times over the years.  This doll was designed and dressed by Wayne Kreski who beginning in 1991 made unique handmade dolls and other collectibles.  Clearly it's a Scootles clone with a unique cloth jointed body.  Who knows if this copy was authorized???  Scootles stands 13" tall, has a cloth torso and composition head, and lower arms and legs.   Her clothing includes a satin dress and matching panties with a beautiful crocheted over-dress and matching bonnet.  There is Wayne M. Kreski label sewn at the back of the dress.  Scootles is in excellent condition.
